Israeli troops entered Gaza just after nightfall. Some 300 Palestinians with foreign passports were allowed to leave Gaza. There are still no plans for Secretary Rice to travel to the region.

After a week of not commenting, President Bush finally addressed the situation between Israel and Hamas. The current conflict has caused more that 400 Palestinian deaths and 4 Israeli. There are no plans for Secretary of State Rice to visit the area.
